Giving BackPresentation #13: Giving Back

Our Most Humbling Experience To Date

Giving back is extremely important to us no matter where we are in the world. We seek out opportunites to bring smiles to the faces of those around us. We had the opportunity while in Myanmar to donate large bags of rice for many people who had been displaced from their homes due to political disputes. What we received that day outweighed what we gave.

CambodiaPresentation #14: Cambodia

Siem Reap, Battembang and Kampong Chhnang

Outside the touristy town of Siem Reap, lies the rich history of Cambodia and the Khmer Empire. The ancient temples of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon did not disappoint. Our adrenaline surged racing down railroad tracks on a flimsy bamboo platform while exploring the surrounds in Battambang. We hopped off the tourist trail for a taste of true local life exploring the floating villages of Kampong Chhnang.

Presentation #15: Sri Lanka

Nuwara Eliya, Dambulla, Mirissa and Two National Parks

Ride along with us as we explore this incredibly diverse country through the eyes of a local. Marvel at the colorful paintings of the cave temple of Dambulla. Cruise passed wild elephants emerging from lush jungles to cross major roads. Hold on tight while hugging tight turns weaving in mountains covered in miles of tea plantations and soak in the sun and life on the coast at some of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beaches.

Presentation #16: Egypt

Aswan, Luxor and Cairo

Join us as we step foot in Africa for the first time to cross off one of our biggest bucket list destinations. Follow in the footsteps of the ancient Egyptians as we explore the well preserved ruins of Abu Simbel, descend into the tombs of the Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings, including the famous King Tutankhamun, and marvel at one of the seven man-made Wonders of the World at the Pyramids of Giza.

Presentation #17: Indonesia

Bali, Java and Sulawesi

There is so much more to Indonesia than the famous island of Bali. After soaking in the beaches, Balinese culture and beautiful rice terraces of the well known island we made our way to Sulawesi. Nothing could prepare us for the ancient funeral traditions of Tana Toraja that we were lucky enough to be a part of. Our time ended with a magical sunrise over Borobudur.

Presentation #18: Laos

Luang Prabang, Nong Khiaw and Si Phan Don

Few countries have stolen our hearts like Laos. The night market of Luang Prabang draws tourists from all over the world. While, further North in the small village of Nong Khiaw lies a simpler way of life on the banks of the Nam Ou River. The Four Thousand Islands in the far South, provide a beautiful backdrop for lazy days, bicycle riding and exploring the many small islands.
